Delhi Police on Sunday issued a traffic advisory in view of the proposed farmers' march, alerting commuters about restrictions on vehicular movement at three borders of the national capital. Farmers from UP, Haryana and Punjab will arrive in Delhi for a protest in order to push the central government to take action and accept their demands.
As per the advisory, traffic restrictions will be imposed for commercial vehicles from Monday. The advisory said that there will be traffic restrictions at Singhu border for commercial vehicles from Monday and for all types of vehicles from Tuesday.
The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and farmer unions mostly from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab have sought to put pressure on the Center to accept their demands, including making a law to guarantee minimum support price (MSP) for crops. A call was given to take out a march on 13th February.
