The father of Punjab's famous travel agent Kanhaiya Sehgal was robbed in Jalandhar on Tuesday. Bike riding robbers stopped him while he was out taking a stroll and snatched his phone and gold ring, promptly fleeing the scene. This incident took place in Adarsh Nagar, one of the most posh areas of the city. Police of Police Station Division No. 2 have started investigating the case.
According to the information received, Ramesh Sehgal, father of Kanhaiya Sehgal, owner of Visa House Immigration, was taking a walk near his house as per usual. During this time, three masked robbers arrived riding on a bike. As soon as they arrived, they took out a sharp weapon in front of the victim and threatened his life.
After this, they looted the gold ring worn by Ramesh Sehgal & his expensive phone and fled the scen. The victim even shouted at the crime scene to raise alarm but to no avail. The accused fled towards the main road.
Police have registered a case and are scouring through the CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify and arrest the miscreants.
