Fans of PUBG in India now have a reason to rejoice.

PUBG was a mainstay of young Indians of this generation. But the game was banned from India. Countless young Indians missed their bonding time with their friends.

Whether the kids gathered at a friend’s home or connected online, “Winner winner chicken dinner! Winner winner chicken dinner” was always a satisfying conclusion to a time well-spent.

However, the kids were left without any avenue to spend their time, especially when the pandemic COVID-19 forced the kids within the confines of their home.

But, our young Indians need not miss their favorite genre of video game.

A battle royale game is an online multiplayer video game genre that blends the survival, exploration, and scavenging elements of a survival game with last-man-standing gameplay.

An indigenous video game with title rhyming with the Hindi pronunciation of word ‘soldier’, FAU-G is being prepared. Actor Akshay Kumar released a teaser of the game on the day of Dussehra claiming, “Today we celebrate the victory of good over evil, and what better day to celebrate our Fearless and United Guards, our FAU-G! On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, presenting the #FAUG teaser.”

The video shows warriors in the likeness of Indian Army soldiers.

The game is being developed by Bengaluru-based video game studio NCore. Vishal Gondal, co-founder, NCore claimed that the video game will be in the hands of the players by the end of this month. The company intends to reach 20 crore users in a year.

The co-founder’s vision would make every Indian proud, “There’s a belief that Indian game developers can’t produce good quality games, at nCore we want to prove that mentality wrong and bring out games that can compete with international games.”
