Comedian Sugandha Mishra, who got married a few days ago on April 26 in Jalandhar, has fallen into controversy. On Thursday, an FIR was registered against him in Phagwara under the Corona Safety Protocol. It is alleged that her wedding ceremony was more crowded than permitted. One video from the wedding went viral on social media and came to the notice of the police. Apart from Sugandha, a case has also been registered against the management of the hotel concerned. However, no one has been arrested yet.
To be noted that 9 days ago, comedian and playback singer Sugandha Mishra tied the knot with comedian Dr. Sanket Bhosale. The ceremony took place on 26 April in Jalandhar. The members from the groom’s side, who arrived the day before the wedding, had to stay in quarantine for a full 24 hours. Confirming this when the wedding date was set, Sugandha's mother Savita had said that earlier the wedding was to be held in December, but due to Covid-19, the wedding date had to be changed.
Sugandha’s family said, “only people close to both the families will be involved in the marriage. During the ceremonies all guidelines of covid will be followed”. Now after 9 days of the wedding, a case has been registered against Sugandha at the Police Station of Phagwara. According to the FIR, more than 100 people had gathered in this wedding ceremony, called ‘private’ when there was a ban on the gathering of more than 40 by the government.
