Here is a list of 5 things that we can expect in 2022:
1. Pandemic: Will Covid eradicate this year?
The virus is gradually weakening and we are getting immune to the Virus. This year we will win the war against Covid.
What Will Happen: Our body is getting resistant to the virus. If we continue with the vaccination and keep taking precautions, then covid might not be a serious problem.
Why: According to scientists, omicron is a comparatively weaker variant. The variant is not strong enough to reach your lungs, it barely reaches the windpipe. There is a possibility that newer variants will be weaker.
2. Employment: Pandemic reduced the opportunities, what about this year?
Employment opportunities are about to grow, the companies will hire people and train them the skills required.
What Will Happen: IT-ITE, Education, Pharma-Healthcare, E-com, Banking, and Finance will have flourishing opportunities. Contractor business might provide jobs up to 15-20%.
Why: New sectors will be made. IT Business process management will have almost 3.75 lakh openings. The employers will deliver training programs. The manufacturing and service sector will be in limelight.
3. Space Tourism: Will India have Space Tourism Hub?

What will happen: After the personal space tour concept, many firms have started working towards that direction. Space exploration is now a matter of interest for a huge number of people. Still space tourism is a farfetched dream for now.
Why: India has yet to prove its capability of sending astronauts into space. Gaganyaan has two pending missions. The human space mission deadline has been extended till 2023.
4. E-vehicle: Will this year allow interstate electric vehicle travel?
EV will make traveling easy no doubt but interstate traveling is still under limited consideration.
What Will Happen: In 3 years, 68 cities will have 2877 EV, 1576 charging points on 25 NH. Few routes will have an encouraging impact on EV but interstate traveling will take at least 2 years.
Why: In India, 5 states have 1028 charging stations. For more than 300 km of interstate travel, these charging points need to be installed at more places.
5. Waste Management: Is it possible to achieve 100% Waste Management?
For now, we are treating 23% of waste, 100% waste management is not a possibility this year.
What Will Happen: The yearly waste production is increasing at the rate of 4%. In the year 2020, 6.20 crore ton of waste was produced and we were able to treat only 23% of it.
Why: Plastic is the major component of waste. In 2020, 34 lakh tons of plastic waste was produced and only 50% of it was treated
