Five people who were returning from a wedding were killed in a road accident in Punjab's Sangrur. The accident occurred on Sunam road when their car collided with a speeding truck and burst into flames. The car had a centre lock and because doors couldn’t open all five occupants of the car were burnt to death.
The car’s number plate was of Ludhiana.

The five occupants of the car have been identified. They belonged to Moga. Deceased Balvinder Singh from Tallewal village, Kultar Singh from Moga’s Nanak Nagar, his son Laxman Singh, Captain Sukhwinder Singh resident of MogaGreen Field colony, Surinder Singh from Ramuwalia, and Chamkaur Singh.
The burnt bodies have been sent to Sangrur Civil hospital for postmortem. The truck driver is absconding. The police is investigating the case while other details are awaited.
