Despite warnings from Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh, PPCC Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu’s advisors are not stopping from making controversial statements. In the latest development into the matter, Sidhu’s advisor Malvinder Singh Mali took to social media and said Dr Pyare Lal Garg is just an excuse, in reality; Capt Amarinder wants to target Mr Sidhu on Kartarpur Corridor incident.
Earlier, two of Navjot Sidhu’s advisors- Dr Pyare Lal Garg and Malvinder Singh Mali had made remarks on sensitive national issues like Kashmir and Pakistan. Malvinder Singh Mali on August 18 claimed that Kashmir was a separate country and both India and Pakistan were illegal occupants. Meanwhile, Dr Pyare Lal Garg questioned Captain Amarinder’s criticism of Pakistan.
Later, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Sunday warned against such atrocious and ill-conceived comments that were potentially dangerous to the peace and stability of the state and the country. Captain Amarinder urged Sidhu’s advisors to stick to giving advice to the PPCC president and not speak on matters of which they clearly had little or no knowledge, and had no understanding of the implications of their comments.
Apart from this, Mali had posted a controversial sketch about former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In this sketch, Indira Gandhi is seen standing near a pile of human skulls and holding a gun, whose tube also has a human skull.
After posting this controversial sketch, there was a ruckus in the Punjab Congress.
Then, Mr Mali shared an old Facebook post and launched another attack against CM. He said, “Punjab is asking - Don't beat around the bush and answer why the convoy was looted." In his post, Mali questioned the loan of 3 lakh crores, youth migrating abroad for employment, the suicide of farmers and labourers, and the ongoing farmer's protest at the borders of Delhi.
