On Tuesday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi took a stand for India skipper Virat Kohli, who received rate threats on his 10-month-old daughter, after the captain supported his teammate Mohammad Shami.
Rahul Gandhi took Twitter and wrote, “Dear Virat, These people are filled with hate because nobody gives them any love. Forgive them. Protect the team”.
Earlier today, the Delhi Commissioner for police sent a letter to Delhi Police and asked to take “strict action” against the one who is behind the shameful and stomach-churning threats against 10-month-old Vamika.
The notice sent directed, “If no accused has been arrested, please provide the details of steps taken by Delhi Police to arrest the accused”.

The Police are directed to report till November 8, 2021.
To support Shami, Kohli stood against religious discrimination and told reporters, “Attacking someone over their religion is the most pathetic thing one can do as a human. That is a very sacred and personal thing. People take out their frustration because they have no understanding of what we do”.
“We're playing on the field, we're not a bunch of spineless people on social media. This has become a source of entertainment for some people which is very sad. All this drama created on the outside is based on people's frustrations”, the Indian captain added.
When Shami was facing hate, at that time as well, Rahul tweeted in favour of the player and wrote, “Mohammad Shami we are all with you. These people are filled with hate because nobody gives them any love. Forgive them.”
