Former Indian billionaire Malvinder Singh has filed a criminal complaint accusing his younger brother of draining funds from their family holding company and fraudulently diverting them to a renowned spiritual guru.
Former Fortis Healthcare promoter Malvinder Singh, spiritual head of Radha Soami Satsang Gurinder Singh Dhillon and others alleging financial frauds and threaths to kill him. Malvinder Singh, who had filed the complaint before the Economic Offences Wing, said that Gurinder Singh through his lawyer Ferida Chopra had threatened to him. He alleged that Shivinder and Sunil Godhwani in connivance with other accused had carried out serious financial frauds in two other companies namely Religare Enterprises Ltd and Religare Finvest Ltd, which had caused substantial financial losses.
Previously, in the year 2018 Shivinder had filed a petition before the National Company Tribunal alleging that his elder brother Mr Malvinder had forged his wife signature, executed illegal financial transactions and had led the company into unstable debt trap. However on 14 September 2018, he withdrew the petition on the advice of his mother.
