Former BJP leader turned priest Mahesh Giri has come under the scanner of social media for spitting venom against the Jain Community and even calling out to behead Jain monks. Multiple videos of Mahesh Giri is going viral on social media in which he can be seen threatening Jain Monks and Jain community allegedly if they travel to Girnar Hill to worship Tirthankar Neminath.
As per reports, Nyaya Shashanam legal organization on Tuesday filed a complaint against former East Delhi MP and Peethadeesh (The Head) of the Guru Dattatraya Peeth at Girnar, Junagadh in Gujarat. The organization has reportedly demanded the arrest of Mahesh Giri, accusing him of hurting the religious sentiments of the Jain community and threatening them by using violent language.
Reportedly, the organization in its complaint stated that Mahesh Giri had organized a conference of sadhus in the name of Sanatan Dharma on October 28, 2023. During this, he used objectionable language for the Jain community, claiming the right of Dattatreya community on Girnar mountain. He said that the Jain community, monks and devotees will be kept to clean the floors as well. Nyaya Shashanam legal organization claimed that Maheshgiri's associates have already beaten, threatened and fatally attacked Jain devotees.
