In a shocking development, former Prime Minister of India and former Union Finance Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh on late Thursday night passed away. Manmohan Singh was admitted to Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after his health deteriorated. The 92-year-old former Prime Minister was brought to the emergency department of the hospital, around 8 pm. The reason for his hospitalisation was not known. Dr. Manmohan Singh's death was confirmed by Robert Vadra.
Dr. Manmohan Singh was 92 years old and served as India's Prime Minister during UPA 1 and 2 government from 2004 to 2014. Notably, Manmohan Singh's death was confirmed by Robert Vadra.
Robert Vadra took to his X handle and wrote, "I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ji. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Thank you for your service to our Nation. You will always be remembered for your Economic revolution and the progressive changes, you brought to the country."

Before becoming the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh also served as Finance Minister of India in the central government led by PV Narasimha Rao from 1991 to 1996. He rose to fame as the nation's finance minister by implementing extensive reforms that revolutionised the economy.
Congress leader & Senior Advocate Salman Khurshid also took to his X handle and wrote, "Deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India. His contributions to the nation and his dedication to public service will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones."
