Bal Krishan Kohli was a big name in Punjab’s sports industry and played a very important role in the sports industry. He burnt the midnight oil to build a brand that a personality like Shah Rukh Khan would go on to use in Chak De India and many Indian Hockey Team Captains in some of their most important matches. For many people, he was their hero because of all that he achieved in his life with hard work.
Famous Indian Hockey player and former national team captain Dhanraj Pillay while writing about Mr. Bal Krishan Kohli stated that he was one of the finest gentlemen and a great helping hand for sports. He was known as the King of Vijayanti Hockey Stick around the 80s and 90s. He further added that while growing up he played with the same Vijayanti hockey stick for almost 35 years.

Unfortunately, one of the key businessmen who established the fame of Jalandhar in providing essential sporting gear to the country alongside Meerut post-independence is no more with us.
