Punjabi Singer and AAP’s MLA from Kharar constituency, Anmol Gagan Maan has taken the oath as Cabinet Minister. Aam Aadmi Party's minister Anmol Gagan Maan is from the Kharar constituency. She won the assembly election with a huge margin. She is a Punjabi Singer by profession. She defeated Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Ranjit Singh Gill by a huge margin of 37718 votes.
She contested the Assembly elections for the first time and won. When she was given the ticket for election, many party workers opposed the decision, accusing her of being an outsider. She competed with 16 other candidates for the seat. It is the seat from which the maximum number of candidates contested.
She joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2020. Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had also campaigned for her in Kharar. On the counting day, Aam Aadmi Party maintained its lead in the early trends which continued till the last. Anmol Gagan Maan got a total of 78067 votes.
