Fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya' plea against the orders of his extradition to India was declined by a UK High Court on Monday. the former owner of Kingfisher Airlines had filed an application in the High Court after Sajid Javid the UK home secretary signed on a Westminister Magistrates court order for his extradition in February.

The spokesperson for the UK judiciary said, "The application for permission to appeal was refused by Mr Justice William Davis on 05/04/2019. The appellant (Mallya) has five business days to apply for oral consideration. If a renewal application is made, it will be listed before a High Court judge and dealt with at a hearing. "

As his plea has been rejected by the High Court, Mallya has the option of 'renewal'. The above said  renewal process will lead to a brief oral hearing. During the oral hearing, Mallya's legal team and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), acting on behalf of the Indian government will renew their claims for and against an appeal for a judge so that he can decide as to if it can proceed for a full hearing.
