In the latest development in the murder mystery of Shaurya Chakra awardee Balwinder Singh Bhikhiwind, the name of gangsters is now coming to the limelight. According to the police's preliminary probe, his murder has been conspired by gangsters who are lodged in jail. It is being believed by the sources that due to the ongoing conflict of Balwinder and his son with gangsters he was shot dead during broad daylight.
Owing to these altercations, gangsters on October 16, targeted Balwinder and shot him dead.
As per the Police sources, gangster Ravinder alias Giana, lodged in Ferozepur jail, is involved in the entire conspiracy. Though, an inquiry is still underway to unfold the facts. It has also been revealed that the gangsters in the jail had attacked Balwinder after paying a sum of Rs 10 lakh to miscreants.
However, Rs 3 lakh were given in advance while Rs 7 lakh was due. The accused had reached Balwinder's house as planned and shot him dead.
On condition of anonymity, a police official said that gangsters who are lodged in jails could be behind the murder of the comrade.
Investigating officers are also quizzing an eminent gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. As per reports of a vernacular daily newspaper, Jaggu has revealed many facts, but Jaggu's direct involvement, in this case, is not coming to the fore.

Though, Jaggu has been in constant contact with gangster Giana. Investigating officers have questioned both the gangsters individually and the role of the mastermind is yet to be ascertained.
On the other side, Balwinder Singh's wife Jagdish Kaur has alleged that police couldn't catch the culprits thus bringing the names of gangsters in it.
Balwinder Singh, 62, was shot dead by unidentified assailants at his home in Bhikhiwind village of Tarn Taran on October 16. According to the family members of the deceased, Khalistani terrorists are behind the murder of the Shaurya Chakra awardee.
