The last date to apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 has been extended till October 14. All the candidates who wish to seek admission in engineering and science colleges for postgraduate courses can fill the application form of GATE 2021 with an additional charge of Rs 500 on the official website. the link for which is gate.iitb.ac.in.
"Closing date of Registration for GATE 2021 is EXTENDED up to 17:00 hours IST (5:00 PM) Wednesday 14th October 2020," the official statement read.
Candidates who want to apply for GATE 2021 can do it through online mode. Applicants can visit the GATE website to apply for the entrance exam. Even if a candidate is appearing for two papers, the candidate should fill only one application form.
GATE 2021: Exam date
GATE 2021 examination will be conducted on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14. The exam will be held over six days and in twelve sessions in fully Computer Based Test (CBT).
The organising institute of GATE 2021 is Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay).
The schedule of the GATE 2021 examination may change depending on the COVID-19 Situation in the country. Due to Covid-19 related international travel restrictions, examinations at the International Centres may be dropped, if the situation is not conducive by the end of November 2020, says a statement.

- Log on to the official website of GATE 2021: gate.iitb.ac.in
- Click on "GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS)" link
- On the new page, click on "New User? Register Here"
- Make your login account and enter all the required details
- Login using your credentials and fill the application form
- Upload all the relevant documents and pay the application fees
- Click on submit
GATE 2011: Age limit criteria:
There is no age limit to appear for the GATE 2021 examination.
Educational qualification required:
Eligibility criteria are relaxed. A Candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or has already completed any Government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible to appear for GATE-2021 examination.

Two new subject papers are introduced
- ES (Environmental Science and Engineering)
