Instant messaging app-WhatsApp is working on a host of interesting features. Reportedly, the messaging app for its latest Android beta update is going to roll out fresh features like a ringtone for group calls, new sticker animation, and UI improvements for calls.
WhatsApp, however, has released the new features for testing. Not only this, but the messaging app is also working on advanced search mode and multi-device features.
According to WAbteainfo, a couple of new features have been rolled out for Android beta testers and if you want to enjoy the features, update your application to the 2.20.198.11 version on Play Store.
The WhatsApp features trackers reports that the application is working on implementing a new ringtone for group calls. So every time you receive a group call, WhatsApp will play a new ringtone on loop. As of now, when you receive a call, the ringtone of your phone plays.
Improved sticker animation is also another feature on which WhatsApp is working. When the animated stickers were launched for both Android and iOS users, they were not happy with the stickers "one-time-play" rule. In lieu to play the sticker, again and again, users will have to scroll up and down. Nonetheless, the messaging app is trying to make the stickers work better now.
“WhatsApp has implemented a new type of animation for animated stickers, looping them at most 8 times. Long animated stickers (so animated stickers having a lot of frames) will loop less times. With the 2.20.198.11 update, the feature should be available for everyone now,” Wabetainfo read.

According to the reports, it is also redesigning the user interface for calls. In the screenshot shared by the WhatsApp features tracker, it can be seen that WhatsApp had moved all the icons including the camera reverse icon, the message icon, the video off and audio off icon, and the information icon in the bottom of the call page. Wabetainfo states that all the features are currently under development and it could be rolled out only after WhatsApp is done testing and improving them.
Along with the above-mentioned features, WhatsApp users could soon get an advanced search mode feature and multi-device support. The advanced search mode would let users search for images, videos and other documents whereas the multi-device support would let users log in to four different devices using a single account.
