When the first season of Inside Edge premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2017, it captivated viewers with its spectacular tone. Cricket fans were treated to an uncensored peek at the nasty underbelly of what is typically seen as a 'gentleman's game.' Everything was fair game on the show: drugs, sex, politics, insecure athletes, and match-fixing. Four years later, the Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani film has evolved into a family drama, with the protagonists' sob tales taking up the most of the screen time.

Inside Edge 3 takes off where the previous season left off. We return to our characters' lavish hotel rooms, private aircraft, and gleaming workplaces. It's a dog eat dog world this time, as Bhaisaab (Aamir Bashir), Vikrant Dhawan (Vivek Oberoi), and Zarina Mallik go to great lengths to cross each other.
Things are heating up as a 13-year-old Pakistan-India series is set to take place in India. Bomb threats, vandalised pitches, brokering, and horse-trading are all at an all-time high. The season is attempting to pin down every issue under the sun, including romance, politics, drama, excitement, and the Indo-Pak onfield rivalry.
It's a dog eat dog world this time, as Bhaisaab (Aamir Bashir), Vikrant Dhawan (Vivek Oberoi), and Zarina Mallik go to great lengths to cross each other.
Bhaisahab is the sole figure whose identity has remained a mystery - a kind of Don who must be pulling strings from Dubai. He seemed to be a powerful person, since everyone, even Vivek's character, appeared to respect him. On the show, I feel he is a part of the underworld.
The Mumbai Mavericks and its co-owner Zarina Malik (Richa Chadha), who is also a Bollywood star, wins the cricket board election over the former President of the Indian Cricket Board and originator of the Power Play League Yashvardhan Patil. Zarina Malik also legalised the batting in India while taking help of PM of India.Richa Chadha takes every attempt to bring her opponents' and the audience's attention to herself.
Dhawan is stronger than in Seasons 1&2 and desires vengeance on Bhaisahaab- the biggest bombshell. Vivek Oberoi plays a man who would go to any length to obtain what he wants this time. Aamir Bashir is convincing as Yashvardhan Patil, a power-hungry man. On the other side, his emotional scenes with his daughter Mantra are a touch too dramatic.
Apart from her romance with Vayu, Mantra takes a bigger and better role in the fight to make betting legal in India this season.
'Inside Edge 3', like prior seasons in the franchise, has more to offer than just the highs and lows of cricket matches. If you've already spent time viewing the first two seasons, you won't want to miss the third.
