Nirmal Singh Bhor's death was confirmed by his son Jaswinder Singh Bhor. Nirmal Singh Bhor died after his health deteriorated and he was rushed to a hospital. Nirmal Singh Bhor breathed his last in Yuba City, California. In his memory, Sahaj Paath will be held in village Bhor, Kapurthala from 20 to 26 October. Nirmal Singh Bhor's village in Kapurthala has gone into a 6-days of mourning.
Nirmal Singh Bhor's elder son Jaswinder Singh Bhor was quoted by Dainik Bhasker saying that he had gone with his group to the Kirtan performed after the Bhog of Akhand Paath organized in America on the invitation of Guru Nanak Naam Leva Sangat two and a half months ago. On the night of October 15, when his health deteriorated, he was admitted to the hospital in Yuba City, but despite the best efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved.
Nirmal Singh Bhor died on October 16 at 1:55 pm US time and his last rites will be performed by his relatives in Yuba City, America. Apart from his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter. The last prayer will be performed in America on October 22.
