In a bizarre development, two girls on Wednesday were caught on camera dancing in the middle of the road in Giaspura Chowk, Ludhiana. As per information received, both the girls were making a reel for their social media handles. The incident took place under a flyover in Ludhiana's Giaspura Chowk, where the girls reportedly danced for nearly five minutes, causing a traffic jam.
In the viral video, both the girls were seen dancing beside an auto-rickshaw. The girls drew the attention of passersby and motorists, many of whom stopped to watch and record the incident, further disrupting the flow of traffic. As per reports, the video was filmed on Wednesday afternoon, but it went viral on Thursday i.e. on April 17.
Commuters filmed the act on their phones, and some reportedly lodged a complaint with the local police. Speaking on the matter, ACP Traffic Gurpreet Singh said, "Making reels in the middle of the road is a violation of traffic rules. We are verifying the video and attempting to identify the girls involved. A thorough investigation will follow."
As of now, the identities of the girls remain unknown, and the police have launched an inquiry into the incident.
It is pertinent to mention here that a few days back, a Chandigarh cop was suspended because his wife's viral Instagram Reel disrupted traffic and sparked controversy on a busy road in the middle of the day. Senior Constable Ajay Kundu's wife, Jyoti, was reportedly dancing to a Haryanvi song for the Reel near the zebra crossing at Sector 20's Gurdwara Chowk.
