Guru Nanak Enterprises group's owner Jagdish Singh's son Gurinder Singh dies by suicide on Wednesday. Reportedly, the 39-year-old deceased shot himself in the dead of the night with his licensed weapon at his native village Virka near Goraya town in Jalandhar district.
However, after he shot himself, Gurinder was rushed to the civil hospital in Phagwara before being referred to a private hospital in Jalandhar due to his critical condition.
Gurinder, underwent surgery in Jalandhar and the bullet was removed but he succumbed to his injuries at around 12:30 pm.
While the victim was the director of an automobile parts manufacturing company, his father is the firm’s managing director.

Goraya station house officer Hardeep Singh said that the statements of the family members are to be recorded to ascertain the reason behind his taking the extreme step. Reports say that the dip in business was the prime reason behind the suicide of Gurinder Singh
Going by the reports, the GNA group's family were to join an event in Chandigarh on Wednesday. Gurinder was also expected to join the event but in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, he shot himself.
