Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has extended the last date for admissions into its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online courses. Interested students can now enroll until November 15, 2024, in alignment with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission-Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB).
GNDU has established a Directorate of ODL and Online Studies, which is UGC-DEB approved. Currently, approximately 1,400 students, including national and international students from countries like Canada, the UK, Australia, the UAE, and the USA, are enrolled in these programs.
These online courses are tailored for the Punjabi diaspora abroad and are accessible to anyone in India or overseas seeking higher education.
GNDU offers 12 courses under ODL, including BA, BBA, B.Lib, BCA, B.Com, MBA, MCA, MA (Punjabi), MA (English), M.Com, a Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA), and a Diploma in Communication Skills. Additionally, 11 online courses are offered, all UGC-DEB approved.
Under GNDU and UGC’s new policy, students can now pursue one degree in physical mode and another in ODL or online mode in the same academic year.
Dr. Subhit Kumar Jain, Director of ODL and Online Courses, announced that GNDU has established an on-campus studio for online teaching, video lectures, and AI-proctored exams. Students also have access to the e-GNDU Learning Management System, which includes e-books, videos, quizzes, and discussion platforms.
All admission details are available on the ODL and Online website.
