'Golden Boy' Neeraj Chopra advances to Men's Javelin throw final at Paris Olympics with a single monstrous throw

Keeping up the expectations and hopes of a billion dreams, India's 'Golden Boy'  Neeraj Chopra on Tuesday qualified for the Men's Javelin throw final at the Paris Olympics 2024. Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra kickstarted round of the qualification round and made a strong statement for other countries in his first throw. Neeraj Chopra fired a monstrous throw of 89.34 meters. As per the commentators, it was Neeraj Chopra's best throw in any qualification round. For the unversed, javelin throwers had to cross the 84m mark for direct qualification in the javelin final of Paris Olympics 2024. 

Apart from Neeraj Chopra, his arch-rival, Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem also stormed into the finals with a throw of 86.59 meters. 

Neeraj Chopra will now look to create history at the Paris Olympics by winning another gold for India in Javelin. During the Tokyo Olympics 2020, Neeraj Chopra won gold in Javelin. The men’s javelin throw final Paris Olympics 2024 will take place on August 8, 2024, on Thursday at 11:55 pm (IST).
