The 78th edition of Hollywood's famous Golden Globe Awards began on February 28 (March 1 at 6:30 am Indian time). These awards were given virtually this time due to the Corona pandemic. The late Chadwick Boseman received the Best Actor Award for 'Ma Rannies Black Bottom' in the motion picture drama category. In TV's drama category, 'The Crown' won the Best Series, Best Actress, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actress awards.

Andra Day wins Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) The United States vs. Billie Holiday.
Chadwick Boseman wins a posthumous best actor in a motion picture, drama award for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Chadwick died last year after a long battle with cancer. His wife Taylor Simone Ledward said, "He would thank God. He would thank his parents. He would thank his ancestors for their guidance and their sacrifices."
The nomination for the Golden Globe Award 2021 was announced on 3 February. This time, the award was awarded to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). It honored films and TV series released throughout the year of 2020 and early 2021.
