The government has announced a new option on CoWIN website that enables applicants to correct any inadvertent error in the name, year of birth and gender on the CoWIN vaccination certificate.
Announcing the same, the official handle of the Aarogya Setu app tweeted, “Now you can make corrections to your name, year of birth and gender on your CoWIN vaccination certificates if inadvertent errors have come in.”
These vaccine certificates are proof that you have administered the vaccine jab and used at the time of travel.

Recently, the government had enabled an option on the Aarogya Setu app in which people who are vaccinated can update their status voluntarily through a self-assessment process. People administered with a single vaccine jab will get single blue order with vaccination status on their home screen along with the Aarogya Setu logo with a single tick.
For the people who are fully vaccinated, means have received both shots of the covid19 vaccine will have a double tick. The double tick will be given after the 14 days of the second dose after the verification of vaccination status from the CoWIN portal.
Vaccine status can be updated easily through the mobile number used for CoWIN registration.
