The earlier promises by CM Mann:
CM Bhagwant Mann promised 25 thousand government jobs will be provided in Punjab. Out of all that, 10,000 will be in Punjab Police alone. Then 10,300 jobs were promised under the education department, 997 in the higher education sector, 4837 in health, 1690 in Powercom, 990 in Technical Education, 803 in rural development, 319 in medical education, 280 in housing, 250 in Animal Husbandry, 158 in Water Supply, excise 176 posts will be filled in the food supply, 197 in water resources, 82 in social security, 45 in social justice and 148 in prison department.
35,000 workers will be made permanent:
Meanwhile, the AAP government also promised to convert the job of 35,000 workers into permanent ones. CM Mann has already announced the same. However, the contract of all these workers has been renewed for one year. On this, the government said that till the time a policy is structured, they have been given extension in their respective services.
