New Delhi: The Government on Saturday transferred Governors of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh while appointing new Governors in Tripura, West Bengal, and Nagaland.
Bihar Governor Lalji Tandon has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Madhya Pradesh, a Rashtrapati Bhawan communique said.
BJP MLA Phagu Chauhan has been appointed a new Governor of Bihar, the communique said.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel was transferred to Uttar Pradesh as Governor.
Former interlocutor on Naga talks RN Ravi has been appointed as Nagaland Governor, the Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said.
Senior Supreme court lawyer and former Janata Dal MP Jagdeep Dhankhar was appointed as the West Bengal Governor. He replaces Keshari Nath Tripathi.
BJP leader Ramesh Bais has been appointed as Governor of Tripura.
"The above appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices,'' the communique said.
