Guns & Gulaabs will be released on Netflix on August 18. Going by the trailer, Guns & Gulaabs is a crime thriller which also pays a homage to Bollywood masala movies of the 90s. Notably, Satish Kaushik, Gulshan Devaiah, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Pooja A Gor and TJ Bhanu also star in the movies. Going by the synopsis of the movie, the makers state it will be a story that depicts love and innocence though it is set in a world of crime. It marks the first directorial venture of Raj & DK with streamer Netflix. They earlier made shows ‘The Family Man’ and ‘Farzi’ for Prime Video and are currently working on the Indian chapter of ‘Citadel’.

The first trailer of Raj and DK directorial series introduces with the characters. Gourav is ‘Chhota Ganchi’, the inept heir to local big cheese Ganchi (late actor Satish Kaushik). Salmaan is ‘Family Man 'Arjun’, the good-looking square. Devaiah is ‘4 Cut Atmaram’, a long-haired killer with a knife.
