The prestigious Gymkhana Club of Jalandhar has introduced a few changes in its expenses, including membership fees and facility charges. The premium facilities of the Club will now become more expensive, according to one of the decisions taken during the meeting on Wednesday. The meeting was conducted with the executive committee members under the leadership of Club President and Divisional Commissioner Arun Kumar Sekhri.
Some of the decisions underscored during the meeting are -
A development charge of ₹2,950 (including 18% GST) was introduced for every club member. Expectedly, around ₹1.25 crore of revenue will be generated from around 4,300 members of the club.
In addition to this, the prices for all club facilities, including gym, sauna, lawn tennis, card games, and Zumba classes, will be increased.
Gym: The price has increased from ₹500 to ₹900 per month.
Swimming Pool: The price will be increased from ₹400 to ₹1000 per month.
Sauna and Steam: The price will be increased from ₹590 to ₹1180 per month.
Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis: The price will be increased from ₹472 to ₹708 per month.
Massage Services: The price will be increased from ₹354 to ₹708 per month.
Billiards: The price will be increased from ₹1062 to ₹1416 per month.
Card Games: The price will be increased from ₹380 to ₹470 per month.
In addition to this, from now on, the Bhangra and Zumba classes will be paid, i.e., ₹590 per month, which earlier were free of cost.
Construction of Sports Hub
The management has announced that a Sports Hub will be constructed in place of the current four lawn tennis grounds, and his project will cost approximately ₹1 crore. The new facility will include the renovation of three tennis courts, a box cricket ground, and three pickleball courts.
It is to be reported that executive sub-committees will be formed to superhead these renovations and constructions.
Upcoming Events at Gymkhana Club -
According to the management, two events will be celebrated in the Club during the month of April, which are as follows:
- Baisakhi Celebration on April 12, Saturday.
- Gymkhana Premier League (GPL) from April 24, Tuesday to May 3, Saturday.
