Famous singer turned politician Hans Raj Hans has savored success in his political career as he was elected MP from North West Delhi constituency from BJP in 2019 elections. This year however, it is likely that Hans Raj will not be given the BJP ticket to the Delhi constituency as per our sources.
Sources inform that in a parliamentary meeting held 2 days ago, it was said that Hans Raj Hans will not be given the BJP ticket to contest in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The reason for this is that according to the party’s internal surveys, it seems that Hans Raj is unlikely to win the constituency this year. It is pertinent to note that the list of BJP candidates is likely to be made public soon.
Hans Raj Hans Political Career:
Hans joined the Shiromani Akali Dal party in January 2009 and in May of that year, he contested the Jalandhar, Punjab constituency. He joined Bharatiya Janata Party on 10 December 2016. He joined Bharatiya Janata Party on 10 December 2016. He defeated and replaced Udit Raj as the candidate representing North West Delhi in the 2019 Indian general election.
In his youth, Hans learned from music director Charanjit Ahuja, then started singing Punjabi folk, devotional, and Sufi music. He worked with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in the movie Kachche Dhaage.Hans has been an honorary music professor at Washington DC University and San Jose State University.
