Despite the fact that they only face each other in ICC and other important tournaments, India and Pakistan remain arch-rivals on the cricket pitch. While the current crop of players stole many hearts with their on-field displays of sportsmanship during India's T20 World Cup opener against Pakistan, some older cricketers' social media remarks have tarnished the game's reputation.

Mohammed Amir, a Pakistani player who is serving as an analyst in this competition, has had a number of run-ins with veteran Indian batsman Harbhajan Singh. The battle of words between the two was put on display for the whole cricketing world on Tuesday night. Harbhajan didn't hold back when Amir tried to trash him, and the left-arm bowler retaliated with anger.

In response, Harbhajan tweeted a video of him smashing a six to Amir in one of India's bilateral matches against Pakistan, winning the match for India. In response, the off-spinner wrote, “Ab Tum bi bologe @iamamirofficial yeh 6 ki landing tumhare ghar k tv par to nahi hui thi ?? Koi nahi hota hai end of the day it’s a game of cricket as u rightly said.”
The Pakistani cricketer's repeated attempts to offend Harbhajan were met with a thundering reply from the Indian. In response to Amir's video of him being struck for four sixes by Afridi, the off-spinner enquired about the Lord's fixing episode, for which he was suspended for five years.“Lords mai no ball kaise ho gya tha ?? Kitna liya kisne diya ? Test cricket hai no ball kaise ho sakta hai ? Shame on u and ur other supporters for disgracing this beautiful game,” Harbhajan retorted.
Finally, Harbhajan uploaded a video of himself hitting Amir for a game-winning six with the caption: “Fixer ko sixer.. out of the park @iamamirofficial chal daffa ho ja.”
