Haris Rauf was on a stroll with his wife in Florida when a fan allegedly started trolling him over Pakistan's embarrassing performance at T20 World Cup 2024. This angered Haris Rauf and he charged toward the fan to hit but his wife and other people present there stopped him. However, what caught everyone's attention was when Rauf said that 'he must be an Indian'. However, the fan was reportedly from Pakistan. This triggered a massive controversy and Haris Rauf was slammed for hating India.
Now, Haris Rauf has broken his silence over his fight video. Reacting to the viral fight video, Haris Rauf on social media handle wrote, "I decided not to bring this on social media, But now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation. As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions."
In the viral Haris Rauf video, the Pakistani speedster can be seen screaming at the fan. While his wife tries to calm him down, Haris leaves his slippers behind and jump across to hit the fan. However, the 30-year-old seamer was stopped and then started a verbal argument. What raised everyone's was when Haris Rauf said that 'he must be an Indian (Pakka Indian Hoga)' while screaming the fan. Howeer, in response, the fan replied that he was Pakistani. Thereafter, Haris Rauf asked 'shame on you that being a Pakistani you are doing this'.
While it is true that people tend so say many things in anger, Haris Rauf's remarks 'Pakka Indian Hoga' showcase how he misjudges the people of India. Not only this, the Pakistan cricket team says that they respect the Indian team, on the other hand, their prime speedster uses words that showcase his hate toward the people of India.
