After the tragic death of HDFC employee, Samajwadi Party’s national president and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav shared a post on X, where he said that all the companies and government should take the work pressure matter seriously. He also blamed BJP’s failed politics for the work pressure that led to the employee’s death.
Akhilesh Yadav's Post:
Akhilesh Yadav wrote, “The news of the death of a female employee of HDFC in Lucknow after falling from her chair in the office due to work pressure and stress is extremely worrying. Such news is a symbol of the current economic pressure in the country. All companies and government departments will have to think seriously in this regard. This is an irreparable loss of the country's human resources. Such sudden deaths bring the working conditions under question. The real measure of the progress of any country is not the increase in the figures of services or products but it is how mentally free, healthy and happy a person is.”
He then blamed BJP’s failed economic policies for the loss of the employee because of the work pressure. He wrote, “Due to the failed economic policies of the BJP government, the business of companies has reduced so much that to save their business, they make fewer people do many times more work. The BJP government is as much responsible for such sudden deaths as the statements of BJP leaders who mentally demoralize the public. To overcome this problem, companies and government departments should make active and meaningful efforts for ‘immediate improvement’.”
This is not the first case of employee's death because of the work pressure. Recently, an EY employee named Anna Sebastian lost her life on 21st June due to the unbearable work pressure. Her mother had written a letter to the Chairman of the company claiming that her daughter died because of the extreme work pressure.
