Indian cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri on Tuesday got the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Confirming this on social media, he said that today the first dose has been taken. Thanks to Medical Professionals and Scientists for this. Your role in keeping the Indian flag high during this epidemic is incomparable.
Shastri wrote, "Got the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Thank you to the amazing medical professionals & scientists for empowering India against the pandemic. Extremely impressed with the professionalism shown by Kantaben & her team at Apollo, Ahmedabad in dealing with COVID-19 vaccination."
However, it is not yet known whether any other staff along with Shastri has got the vaccination done. The second phase of vaccination has started in the country on Monday. In this, people above 60 years will be vaccinated. Also, those above 45 years of age will be vaccinated.
However, people on social media are raising questions that under which category Shastri has been vaccinated.
A user wrote, "He got vaccinated under which criteria? He is neither 60 nor is a health frontline worker. The other category is of 45+ but with serious prolonged illness."
Another user wrote, "Two things 1) You are 58 years how come you got it. 2) you should be dry for atleast 12 hours before vaccination." "That's great but in which category?" asked another user.
