The health department's anti-adulteration program has been stepped up. On Saturday, the department's personnel checked in the Mai Hiran Gate neighborhood of Jalandhar, Punjab. Three samples of milk, noodles, and used oil were taken from a store. During this time, the team sealed it and sent it to Kharar Laboratory for examination. Officials stated that if these samples fail during the investigation, the health department will take measures under the Food Safety Act.
In this regard, District Health Officer Dr. Sukhwinder Singh stated that due to August 15, the department's strictness has been raised in order to supply quality food items to the people. He stated that he had received a video in which a woman claimed to have discovered a dead scorpion in the noodles of a Mai Hiran Gate shop. The team went there to look at it.
He stated that Food Safety Officer Mukul Gill had collected three samples. If the samples are determined to be defective, action will be taken. He urged the public that if somebody is selling tainted food, the information should be immediately disclosed with the agency. Because low quality food can make even the healthiest person ill.
