He said that his family feud was going on with the Special Task Force (STF) report based on which the case was registered. Also, this case got complicated because of the elections. The opposition parties wanted to target him. Majithia has also made statements about Navjot Sidhu, former CM Charanjit Channi and Home Minister Sukhjinder Randhawa.
When the case was registered on him, first he sought bail but got rejected by High Court and Supreme Court as well. He got relief from SC till the elections. After this, he surrendered on 24 February in Mohali Court. He sought regular demands from the Supreme Court but due to the case terms his demand got rejected.
