Heavy rains caused heavy rains in many areas of Himachal Pradesh last night. In which 2 people have died and 51 people are missing. Clouds have burst in Himachal's Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla's Rampur. Due to a cloudburst in a ravine near Rampur, many houses in the village near Badd got washed away. Due to this, 36 people have gone missing. A school, a guest house, and a powerhouse for an electricity project also got washed away here.
In Mandi's Chauharghati, three houses got hit by a landslide. In this, 11 people from 3 families went missing. Two bodies have been recovered, but no clue has been found yet. One person is injured and has been admitted to the hospital. Here, the fire brigade and the squad team are engaged in the rescue operation.
Mandi's D.C. Apura Devgan has ordered the closure of all government and private schools, Anganwadi centers, vocational training centers in Karsog, and sub-divisions.
Six people are missing in Bagipul due to heavy rains in Kullu. In Manali, the water of the Beas River overflowed, and the Badd Aloo ground was flooded. And a 5-story building by Sabzi Mandi also collapsed here.
Malana-1 and Malana-2 power projects in the Malana valley of Kullu have also suffered heavy damage, due to which many houses have also been damaged. Parvati River is also much above the danger mark.
Because of this, people living on the banks of the river have been urged to go to safety camps. More than 150 roads across the state have been closed due to heavy rains.
