India was endorsed by the 55-member Asia-Pacific grouping without any opposition for a two-year term from 2021-2022 at the Security Council of the United Nations.
India received the green single from the arch-rival China and Pakistan on 24th June 2019.
India Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Syed Akbaruddin tweeted on Tuesday and said “A unanimous step. Asia-Pacific Group @UN unanimously endorses India candidature for a non-permanent seat of the Security Council for a 2-year term in 2021/22. Thanks to all 55 members for their support.”

After this on Friday China stated values India role in maintaining international peace and security the Chinese Foreign Minister Geng Shuang said: “We have India position and its role in international and regional affairs and look forward to India positive contribution to maintaining international peace and security."
China is yet to support India for the permanent seat in the UNSC. While France, Russia, the UK, and the US have already have expressed their support to India run towards the permanent seat.
India has been a great support in maintaining the International peace and security. Such unanimous support also suggests the same.
