Legal obstacles faced CIA Inspector Preeti Pal Singh after his bail application was turned down by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Singh might have helped the criminal Pawan Teenu getaway. Teenu is accused of killing Sidhu Moosewala, a singer from Punjab. The court observed that Pratipal, a police officer, committed a crime by aiding an accused party.

Pratipal argued for his release in his bail plea, but the public prosecutor strongly objected, emphasizing the seriousness of a law enforcement official working with criminals.
To make matters more difficult for Pratipal, the prosecutor brought up the discovery of a white paper. The court rejected Pratipals bail plea after taking the arguments into account.

In 2022, Teenu escaped from police custody while being transported to Mansa for interrogation by the CIA in-charge.
He was to be questioned in connection with the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. However, he was eventually apprehended. Gangster Deepak Kumarpur Teenu, also known as Pawan Teenu, hails from Bhawani district in Haryana. His father works as a painter, and Teenu has a long criminal history, with over 35 cases, including charges of murder and attempted murder, registered against him in Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and Delhi.

Teenu has been linked to the Lawrence gang for the past 11 years. His criminal activities include the murder of Bunty Master in Bhawani and gangster Lavvi Devda in Punjab. His younger brother, Chirag, is also involved in drug smuggling.

The fact that the court denied Inspector Pratipal Singh bail serves as evidence of his misbehavior. It was his duty to serve as a law enforcement officer, but his assistance to a notorious felon has tarnished his reputation and cast doubt on his morality. The incident serves as a reminder of the difficulties and complexities faced by law enforcement in combating corruption within its ranks, especially when officers get involved in illegal activity.
