On July 19, 2024, a car violently dragged a young woman along the Mandi-Pathankot National Highway in Himachal Pradesh. This was an unbelievable incident. After leaving her college, where she had just paid her fees, Neha, an Ahju Bazaar Mandi student, was sitting by the side of the road. While Neha was carrying her bag, a group of young people in a Swift car targeted her.
Neha's bag was attempted to be taken by the individuals inside the car bearing license plate UP14CB0124 at around 3:00 PM, which was a disturbing incident. She fought to hold on to it, but they were able to overwhelm her. The car swiftly took off, dragging Neha for twenty to thirty meters before pushing her onto the road and driving away. The full incident was captured on two CCTV cameras, which have subsequently been made available to the public.
The police immediately opened an investigation after seeing the footage and detained three Punjabi suspects. To learn more about this violent act and to acquire additional evidence, the authorities are working hard.
The attack has sparked outrage among local residents and raised concerns about the safety of public roads. Neha's rights are being upheld, and the police have assured the public that they are doing everything within their power to stop similar incidents from happening in the future. While the public waits for more information and resolutions to this unsettling case, the investigation is still ongoing.
