The date for the Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh has been made public by the Indian Election Commission. Voting for the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha elections will be held on November 12 and the results will be announced on December 8 after counting these votes.

The Chief Election Commission of India informed that the notification for the elections in Himachal Pradesh will be issued on October 17. They said that the elections will be held in a single phase in Himachal Pradesh. The candidates who have filled out the nomination papers will be scrutinized by October 27. After which candidates can withdraw their names on October 29.
On January 8, the current Himachal Pradesh government's term will come to an end. In Himachal Pradesh, there are 68 Vidhan Sabha seats in total, 20 of which are reserved.
