In a heartbreaking development, Himachal Pradesh Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri's wife, Simi Agnihotri on Friday night passed away at the age of 53. Simi Agnihotri's death announcement was made by Himachal Pradesh Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri on social media. As per reports, Simi Agnihotri died due to heart attack. Apart from being the wife of Himachal Pradesh's Deputy CM, Simi Agnihotri was also a Professor in the Law Department of Himachal Pradesh University.
Mukesh Agnihotri on his social media handles wrote, "It is with a very sad heart that we inform you that Professor Simmi Agnihotri ji has left this mortal world and has merged at the feet of the Lord. His mortal remains will be kept at our private residence Aastha Kunj in our native village Gondpur Jaichand till 1:00 pm for the last darshan. The last rites will be performed on Saturday, February 10 at 02:00 pm at Moksh Dham Gondpur Jaichand (Haroli). (translated version). "
Mukesh Agnihotri and Simmi Agnihotri were married on 8 April 1992. As per reports, on 12th February, Simmi Agnihotri had organized Mata's Jagran in Bathu. She was preparing for this program and was looking after all the arrangements herself. Mukesh's daughter Aastha had also come especially from the Netherlands for the vigil, but the Deputy CM's wife passed away on Friday night.
