'Home to many abandoned girls' Unique Home Jalandhar's founder Prakash Kaur celebrates Foundation Day

Unique Home Jalandhar, a shelter for abandoned and orphaned girls that has won the admiration of many Bollywood celebrities and even philanthropist Nita Ambani, marked a special milestone as it celebrated its foundation day on Thursday.  The celebration was led by Unique Home Jalandhar’s founder and caretaker, Parkash Kaur, who ceremoniously cut the cake surrounded by the children she has lovingly raised as her own. The event was filled with joy, dance performances, and heartfelt speeches, honoring the mission of the home, which has provided a safe and nurturing environment for hundreds of girls over the years.

Notably, the event was also graced by star Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa. Neeru Bajwa was seen dancing with the orphan girls on stage on the occasion of Unique Home Jalandhar's Foundation Day. For those who don't know, Parkash Kaur was also honoured with the Padma Shri award in the year 2021. Her social service to abandoned girl children in Punjab, which has one of India's most skewed sex ratios, earned her the award.
