Indians who are residing in
America and doing jobs on H1 and H2 visas are facing serious a lot of issues of
coming to India and then returning to America.
There are a huge number of Indian
living in America, who have not been able to meet their families due to COVID
and now are not able to meet them because of a serious problem.
The situation is that the people
who have come to India just for a visit and want to go back to America need a visa
stamp. When these people are trying to apply for the same in American Embassy
in India, they are facing a lot of hurdles as these people are getting
appointment dates of one year or more than that.
Many people who are living in
America are not able to back to India as they are at the risk of not being able
to return to America. This problem is not only being faced by people who need
visa stamps, people whose visas have got expired and want to reapply for the
same also are getting appointments for next year or after that.
There are two ways to apply for a
visa stamp. The first one is physical and the other one is postal. People applying
through either of the ways are getting long queues of waiting and nothing else.
While talking to TrueScoop, Simmi
Kaur, a resident of Surya Enclave whose daughter lives in America told us that she
got an appointment for 1st May 2023. Also, Gurpreet Singh living in
America told us that he received the appointment date of 2 years from now when
he applied for the stamp through the App.
The main reason for the rush in
American Embassies is that till August, they just want to put all of their
focus on giving visas to students and not anyone else.
Now, the Indians residing in
America are finding out different ways to get this stamp visa to visit India
and then return to America.
The Indians residing in America
are coming to India and then going to Thailand or some other countries to apply
for stamps on their visas from the American Embassy present in those countries
as it is an easy way.
Let’s see whether the
American Embassy will look into this matter and find a solution to this problem
or will the people still have to wait for more time to meet their loved ones.
