On Saturday afternoon there was a startling demonstration of hooliganism close to the Press Club Chowk in Jalandhar Punjab. Three vicious attackers on a motorcycle launched a vicious attack at 3:30 PM greatly alarming people nearby.
According to reports, at approximately 3:30 on Saturday afternoon, three suspected bike riders crossed the street in order to attack the opposing party. The three suspects carried sharp weapon. A pistol was also possessed by one of the accused. The aforementioned accused first severely beat the young members of the opposing party. After the incident which lasted for about ten minutes, a large number of people gathered at the crime scene.
Two youths were injured in the incident. According to reports, a boy operating a courier service outside the post office was attacked by four unidentified youths using sharp weapons because of a prior long-standing rivalry.
While 3 of the four youths managed to flee after attacking the young courier, the crowd managed to grab one of the attackers and beat him senselessly. The caught youth had a holstered gun and a sword. The young man was brought under control by the police and taken to the police station. An investigation is underway.
