The news that has been coming up reveals that the court of Hoshiarpur has summoned the current DCP of Jalandhar in connection to the Hotel Royal Plaza’s case. Naresh Dogra is summoned along with his associates under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code. It was in the year 2019 when a fight took place at the mentioned hotel in which the name of the current DCP of Jalandhar was also brought into. In the year 2019, Naresh Dogra was posted as Commandant in Phillaur Academy of Punjab Police.
The order released by the Hoshiarpur court stated that when an attempt was being made to send the victims to the hospital, Naresh Dogra did not allow to do so as well. According to the judgment passed by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hoshiarpur Rupinder Singh “senior police officer Naresh Dogra used his position to make Vishwanath Bunty and his associates accused. For this reason, Hoshiarpur Police has booked Vishwanath Bunty, Ajay Rana, Nawab Hussain and many others under IPC sections 307, 323, 341, 379-B, 186, 353, 332, 427, 148, 149, 120-B and Arms Act.”
After understanding how serious the matter was, Naresh Dogra posted in Jalandhar has now been arrested and has been ordered to appear on 14 November by the court.
The owner of the hotel stated that in the year 2019, at night he received a call from the manager who told him that Naresh Dogra was trying to take over the hotel because of his power along with the other associates as well. The names of others who supported the DCP were Bunty's partner Vivek Kaushal in Hotel Royal Plaza, then Naib Tehsildar Manjit Singh, Shivi Dogra, Harnam Singh alias Harman Singh and many others.
The owner added further that when he reached the spot to check out the whole matter, he was threatened by the alleged accused and one person also fired a revolver at him which instead of him hurt his partner. His companion Nawab Hussain also suffered serious injuries.
The sword of arrest hangs on DCP Naresh Dogra and his associates. Significantly, when the police do not hear a case, the aggrieved party has the option of going directly to court.
