The Night Manager
Shan Sengupta, an ex-navy lieutenant who works as a hotel's night manager, is the centre of the story. When he discovers a sinister secret about powerful business tycoon Shelly, his entire world is turned upside down. The series stars with Shaan working in a Bangladesh hotel and politely helping the guests panicked from the Rohingya crisis. However, things started to go wrong when a 14-year-old girl from India asks for his help to flee to her hometown. The teenage girl is the wife of a Bangladeshi man who is the major stake holder of the hotel and also a business associate of Shelly Rungta. The girl steals Shaan's phone and records her husband doing a shady arms deal with Shelly. After that, the girl asks Shaan to send the video of Indian High Commission, who ultimately sends it to RAW. Following that the RAW officials go to the 'South Block' of Defence Annexe to take permission to arrest Shelly Rungta. However, the Defence Head did not give permission to do so and shuts the RAW officers abruptly. Ultimately, Shelly gets information about the video and asks his associate Rahman to kill his 14-year-old wife. Ultimately, the 14-year-old girl was murdered in Bangladesh. The death of the girl jolts Shaan from the inside and it became evident that he wanted to avenge the girl's death from Shelly. Ultimately, RAW makes Shaan its asset and plants him in Shelly's house.
Who is Indradhanush?
The name of Indradhanush pops out twice. First, when Shaan intrudes into Shellly's private working room and the other when the illegal arms dealer was in Riyadh. RAW finds out that Indradhanush is an Indian partner of Shelly. However, The Night Manager does not reveal who is Indradhanus. However, going by what The Night Manager showcased, Indradhanush can be none other than the person who shut down RAW's operation against Shelly. Interestingly, the OTT platform has released only 4 episodes of The Night Manager and the second part will be released in June this year in which the story will be concluded. The sexual tension between Shaan and Kaveri is palpable, and the season rushes towards hinting at its culmination, and complications in the covert operation. Though she does not have a major role to play in the first installment, the next could well be her zone.
