As flames engulf large of Southern California, the disaster has touched both Hollywood and Bollywood, with many celebrities witnessing the destruction firsthand. 

Bollywood stars in the line of fire 

Among those deeply affected by the raging wildfires are Bollywood icons who have made Los Angeles their second home. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, one of Bollywood’s most recognized faces globally, settled in the city in 2018 after marrying American singer Nick Jonas. She took to social media to share alarming updates as the fires encroached dangerously close to her property. From her luxurious LA residence, Priyanka captured and posted videos showing flames visibly on nearby hills. Alongside the footage, she expressed her heartfelt concerns for the safety of the safety of her community and gratitude for the first responders working tirelessly to manage the crises. “My thoughts are with everyone. I hope we all stay safe tonight,” she wrote, echoing the collective anxiety of those affected. 

Sunny Leone, another Bollywood star, moved to Los Angeles in 2020 with her husband, Daniel Weber, and their three children. Meanwhile, Bollywood actor John Abraham, who owns a second home in the posh Bel Air neighborhood, is also facing the uncertainty brought on by the wildfires. Bel Air, known for its sprawling mansions and celebrity residents, lies within a region that has seen increased fire activity, leaving Johan and others on high alert. 

As the flames rage on, these Bollywood stars, like many LA residents, are grappling with the dual challenge of safeguarding their loved ones while hoping their properties remain intact. 

Wildfire devastation 

The ires, which began above Hollywood Boulevard earlier this week, have already scorched over 17,200 acres of land. With major blazes like the Eaton and Palisades fires still uncontained, the destruction has spread from the Pacific Coast to Pasadena. Homes of Hollywood stars, including Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, and Adam Brody, have been reduced to ashes, and iconic Los Angeles landmarks remain under threat.
