Challenges big and small, professional and personal, confront us every day. Sometimes we face those challenges head on. Other times they feel impossible leading to loss of courage and motivation. What feels impossible for one may not be impossible for the other and vice versa. There is also the uncertainty of one’s efforts bearing fruit.
People are also dealing with the pressure and challenge of education, the challenge of building a career, the challenge of dealing with insecurities induced by looking at the classy lifestyle of others on social media.
However, American writer Robert A. Heinlein once said, “Everything is theoretically impossible until it is done.”
Some feel defeated while some feel motivated to do impossible things in their lives. Whenever the thought of something impossible comes in mind there should be the feeling of developing the attitude of doing it more efficiently and determinedly. Train your mind and remove the word impossible from your vocabulary.
Challenging yourself is the key to achieving your endeavors by overcoming societal expectations and personal limitations. Challenging oneself is not just facing obstacles but seizing opportunities to grow and inspire others. It is important to understand what your main motivation is so that you can focus your efforts on reaching that goal. Making money need not be the main motivator. One should believe in oneself and remember that there are no limits to what one can achieve. If one is not able to reach their goals, they should take action and evaluate their progress daily.
APJ Abdul Kalam has very widely said that, “History has proven that those who dare to imagine the impossible , are the ones who break all the human limitations”.
To achieve the impossible one should take several steps forward but should not take a step back and set learning opportunities.
One should be loyal toward his progress and no big things are completed overnight. People work daily to make steady progress and bring great results.
Thereby concluding with a few examples;
- It was believed that no one could run a mile in less than 4 minutes . It was impossible . But Roger Bannister proved everyone wrong . He was the first man to run a mile in under four minutes .
- Brian Acton was rejected by Facebook when he applied for a job therein in 2009. He created Watsapp and in 2014, he sold it to Facebook for $19 billion .
Therefore, to succeed in life and achieve results, you must understand and master three forces - desire, belief, and expectations. One should align his passion and purpose in life with a goal. If one focuses on the goal, all obstacles can be overcome.
