Bollywood film-maker Karan Johar who is all set to release Kesari Chapter 2 starring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Pandey, etc recently slammed General Dyer's granddaughter for her remarks on the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. During one of the promotional events of Kesari Chapter 2, Karan Johar was asked about General Dyer's granddaughter Caroiline's remarks in which she called a Jallianwala Bagh victim 'looter'. Ever since Kesari Chapter 2's trailer has been released, a new debate between fans of India and Britain has started over the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. This time, Karan Johar did not mince his words and came down heavily on the infamous British officer. Below is what Karan Johar said-

The Dharma Production Boss said, "Not just as an Indian or as a humanitarian, but anyone who has an iota of empathy or humanity within themselves, it will anger you. I don't want to mince my words, be diplomatic in my answer or certainly beat around the bush when I say, how ridiculous she is to say that and how dare she? She was calling those thousands of people looters? They were innocent people who conglomerated right there for what was meant to be the auspicious day of Baisakhi, thinking something else was going to be the eventuality of the day and look what happened."
"And she went on to say in that interview that he (General Dyer) loved India and all kinds of things about how he had the greatest compassion. What love can you have in your heart when your actions only spoke of hate? The fact that she is in a la la land of her own and in some delusion, I don't know her or met her, and I don't wish to meet her," added Karan Johar.
Karan Johar concluded by saying, "The fact that she has even said those things, makes me so angry on a humanitarian level. Khoon khaulta hai jab maine wo video dekha with the fact that she has such disdain for one of the biggest genocides in the history of our nation and the world. The fact that she was disdainful of it makes me just angry and want andemand an apology even more."
What did General Dyer's granddaughter say about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre?
Recently, a video of General Dyer's granddaughter Caroline Dyer went viral on social media, in which she is saying that all those who were killed in the Jallianwala massacre were looters. This video is a clip of a Channel 4 documentary released in 2019, in which General Dyer's granddaughter Caroline gave this statement. She also praised General Dyer. In the video, Caroline was seen talking to a family member of a victim of the Jallianwala massacre and called his father a 'lootera'.
